Village Rajapur is one of the 20 target villages. In this village the major activities accomplished, so far, are Project orientation with village community, Baseline survey and the formation of Farmer’s club. All these activities have spread awareness in some members of the village community, if not among all villagers. The following narrative makes it clear. Recently a check dam was being built in this village, under the provisions of MNREGA. The Project Manager and the Cluster Coordinator, Mr. Krishna was informed regarding this construction by villagers, named Siroman and Vinod. These two villagers requested Harit Prayas team to visit the site. These villagers guided the team members of Harit Prayas project to the site and explained the role they played in the process of decision making, site selection, NREGA implementation at the village level meeting. Due to their active participation and awareness of Harit Prayas Farmer’s club members on government schemes like MNREGA, JCSS observed that at the construction site all the parameters of MNREGA were being followed. They accepted that due to Harit Prayas, a new sense of enthusiasm has been germinated among them. They want to actively participate in the village level development work from now onwards. Later Siroman has become very active member of the upcoming farmer’s club.
