The process of farmer’s club formation meeting
This activity requires in detail reporting. First of all the staffs of JCSS were told the objective of establishing farmer’s club in a village. Then the concerned cluster coordinator of the Rajapur village identified the poor and needy farmers in the village, who are the target group of Harit Prayas project.Then the cluste coordinator contacted the target group and convinced them for the need of farmer’s club in the village. Apart from this the aims and objective of project Harit Prayas was also discussed with farmers. The date and venue for the meeting finalized. Then the JCSS staffs reached at venue on the fixed date. Farmer’s were reminded about the meeting, as some of them had forgotten about the meet and some of them were not much interested in it. We went house to house and requested farmers to come and participate in the meeting. Finally 24 farmers participated in the meeting. In the 1st meeting we listen to the farmers and tried to understand their needs related with agriculture. A range of issues emerged during interactions with them. Then we discussed how to solve the issues. And by the end of meeting they were of the opinion that farmer’s club to be formed to solve the agricultural crisis in their village. Then the date of next meeting was fixed by farmers themselves. The proceedings of meeting were noted down in the ‘village level meeting register’ and the participants signed on it. Minutes of meeting will be read out in the next meeting.
