we are really glad to share with you all that the village HARIT PRAYAS Majhota village has been inaugurated by our Caritas Spain representative Ms. Maria Isabel , PRI & community members on 9th of June 2012. At the time of inauguration around 80-90 villagers were there and Panchayat representatives have also joined the hands. The entire environment was like a festival and community members were so happy that they have organized a small cultural programme including songs, poetry recitation and a gallery walk and entire thing was based on the process and the result of the HARIT PRAYAS project. It is good to see that now in the village from child to old on everyone’s lips only two words-HARIT PRAYAS!

Ms. Maria Isabel has shared that she is “so happy to be the part of this process of change that  she can’t express her feelings and she wish that with HARIT PRAYAS people from the HARIT P{RAYAS Majhota village would be able to sustain the better livelihood options for generations and generations”

  • Sustainable agriculture ( by making them to learn and practice low input cost and good production through organic cultivation)

The success of HARIT PRAYAS at Chatarpur Majhota needs to be understood in terms of how?
It’s all the team work of Caritas India, Community, Partner (SSSS-Satna), and PRI. If any one from outside would visit the HARIT PRAYAS project villages at Chatapur would able to see how different stakeholders work in the partnership for better deliverance of the project!

What’s unique is now happening in the HARIT PRAYAS Majhota?

  • Villagers are using the name HARIT PRAYAS Majhota in the marriage cards for the forth coming marriages!
  • Panchayat is progressive to include the name on the revenue map of the village!
  • Community member from surrounding 28 villages are visiting to HARIT PRAYAS Majhota and learning about sustainable agriculture and MGNREGA!
  • National leading weekly magazine Outlook ( Hindi) is soon going to cover the story of HARIT PRAYAS Majhota village!

सिर्फ़ हंगामा, खड़ा करना, मेरा मकसद नही
sirf hangama, khada karna, mera maksad nahi
सारी कोशिश, है की ये, सूरत बदलनी चाहिए
saari koshish, hai ki ye, soorat badalni chahiye
मेरे सीने में नही, तो तेरे सीने में सही
mere seene mein nahi, to tere seene mein sahi
हो कही भी आग लेकिन, आग जलनी चाहिए
ho kahi bhi aag lekin, aag jalni chahiye

Poet Dushyant Kumar wrote above lines on bringing change-describes that its not only we talk about change…but instead we must bring change!  And with Caritas HARIT PRAYAS and LIFE project we have tried to bring some of the institutional changes (which probably not happened earlier)!

Please Find attached three short films on the inauguration of HARIT PRAYAS Majhota village!

Now Hardeen is brand ambassador of promotion of organic cultivation in the entire Chatarpur region): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A28Z2W-QfPE&feature=youtu.be
