Quarterly ( JUL-SEPT 2013) progress of HARIT PRAYAS @ JCSS-JHANSI


This quarter we got 110+ soils testing report in the HP field. With a result of Harit Prayas team effort through awareness camps conducted in different villages 350+ people availed the benefit of Backyard Poultry farm scheme. 30+ candidates are ready to avail them self of NRLM. Harit Prayas has crossed its boundaries impacting nearby village of project village. Till now we got 2000+ animals vaccinated. Director, Fr. V.J. Thomas & Asst. Director Fr. Vinu George had involved themselves with regular meeting with staff in office and meeting with beneficiaries in project field. We got 500 plants planted in HP field as our “GREEN JHANSI EFFORT” of JCSS for saving & protecting earth. Month of heavy rainy season it was very difficult to reach villages because of poor roads and excess rain than to in this challenging condition we successfully achieved our goals. Adhikar team from Buxar Diocese came for exposure visit in Harit Prayas Jhansi field in the starting of month. Livestock management camps & Vaccination Camp were organized in HP project villages. This month 708 cows and buffalos & 1213 goats were medically assisted along with medicines. Form filling camps on VIC for disable/widow/old age pension were also organized in concerned villages. NRLM awareness camp/agriculture awareness camp/ MGNREGA camps were also a part of major activities of the month. From 21 august to 25 august a baseline survey workshop was organised at Pune. Nehru yuva Kendra also responded enthusiastically and come forward to support youth club in villages. A special development concept of Development Learning was also initiated by JCSS as MSW students are coming to visit and learn from harit prayas field including doing research and practical exercises in Harit Prayas field. as special development concept of Development Learning was also initiated by JCSS as MSW students are coming to visit and learn from Harit Prayas field including doing research and practical exercises in Harit Prayas field. MSW students from Bundelkhand University had workshop training on Baseline Survey and along with the JCSS staff from 4 – 18 September survey and data collection was done in 16 villages of babina block. The evaluation of Harit Prayas was done by the coordinators of Jeevika & Ankur project. This month being so much involved in baseline and evaluation no further activities could be accomplished.
