19th May 2011: workshop on ‘MGNREGA management’ with the HARIT PRAYAS project team of JCSS-Jhansi. From the workshop staff is able to know the following:
- Basics of MGNREGA i.e. Job card for all the eligible HHs, 100 days work right, prescribed wages as per the work, unemployment wages, RTI for MGNREGA etc.
- Conducting or organizing small-small training programmes with the target and needy community at the village level on the priority basis for the better outcome of the trainings.
- Organizing short duration training programmes with villagers rather than full whole day programmes.
- Establishing better linkages with Panchayats
- Strengthening CBOs for demand of work
The key aspect of this workshop was that it has two facilitaors the cluster coordinators of HARIT PRAYAS team of JCSS-Jhansi and the project officer of Caritas India.
